Henderson Theft Investigation Leads to Multiple Charges

The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office received information about a stolen gun that had been sold to a pawn shop in Saraland, Alabama.  The sheriff’s office began to investigate the information and started coordinating with the Saraland Police Department.  The gun was recovered and the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant on Llyod Edward Henderson Jr. for Theft of Property 2nd degree.

On Friday, October 6, 2017 at approximately 3:30 P.M., the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office executed this warrant on Henderson at 144 Lassiter Road in Silas, Alabama.  Upon a search of his person, deputies recovered crack cocaine, marijuana, and $100 U.S. currency.  During a search of the residence, deputies recovered more marijuana, crack cocaine, prescription drugs not belonging to the residents, two credit cards not belonging to the residents, a gun, scales, paraphernalia items used to cut cocaine, and $1,704 in U.S. currency.

Henderson was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (three separate counts), Possession of Marijuana 1st degree, Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree, Illegal Possession of Credit Cards (two separate counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with the Intent to Manufacture.

Henderson was transported to the Choctaw County Jail where he remains at present time.
