Yantley Burglary with Arrests

In early January 2024, a citizen reported the burglary of his building in the Yantley community of Choctaw County. Numerous items such as a motorcycle, generators, tire mounting and balancing equipment, and welding equipment were stolen from the building. Through various investigative means and interviews the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office identified and arrested three suspects involved in the burglary and theft of property in this case.

On January 22, 2024, Sheriff’s investigators located nearly all of the stolen property, valued at over $10,000, in storage sheds and shops on Bermuda Lane and Lolley Road in Butler, and the property was returned to the owner. As a result, the following individuals were arrested:

Thomas Anthony Jenkins, 28, of Butler, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree, as well as other charges in relation to other cases. Jenkins remains in jail with no bond.

Joseph Dillon Mazingo, 37, of Butler, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree, and has since posted a $15,000 bond.

Levi Nathaniel Boykin, 24, of Silas, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree, as well as other charges in relation to other cases. Boykin remains in jail with a $30,000.00 bond.

As this case is still pending investigation, more charges are possible. As always, the Sheriff’s Office appreciates the tips it receives from the community and encourages individuals with information about criminal activity to notify the Sheriff’s Office, and all information will remain confidential.
