Thank you dispatchers

April 14th through April 20th is National Public Safety Telecommunicators week.

The Choctaw County Sheriffs Office would like to thank the Choctaw County E911 dispatchers for the job they perform on a daily basis.

Dispatchers usually serve as the public’s first point of contact during an emergency.  Whether the emergency is police, fire, or medical, the caller is usually under a lot of stress.  The dispatcher strives to convert that highly emotional call into a more stable format.  This ensures the first responders receive vital information in a clear, concise, and timely manner.  Tucked away behind closed doors, the public never sees the stress that dispatchers go through.

Thank you
