Cold Weather/Vehicle Air Pressure

IMG_0356

This is a good time to check the air pressure in your vehicle tires.  With the sudden drop in temperature, many tires will be below the safe air pressure range.  During cold weather temperature drops, its not unusual to see an increase in single vehicle accidents because of this.  One example of a low tire pressure accident is for a tire to come off a wheel during a stressful maneuver like going into a sharp curve.  Remember if a tubeless tire looks low then it is in a dangerously low range.  All tires should be checked with an air gauge, but especially tubeless tires.

The minimum and maximum allowable air pressure can be found written on the sidewall of your tire.
