On Friday, September 18, 2020, at approximately 6:45 P.M., the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a driver for speeding and reckless driving just south of Butler.  The driver began running from the deputy and was at speeds of 100 miles per hour.  A responding deputy set up spike strips on the north end of Toxey.  The driver eventually stopped for deputies just in front of the spike strips.  A search of the vehicle revealed a tin foil package which contains what is suspected of being several ecstasy pills. Deputies also found a syringe and possible steroids.  The driver, Logan Mitchell Fairly of Hattiesburg, MS will face multiple charges.  He was transported to the Clarke County Jail where he remains at present time.

Sheriff Scott Lolley would like to thank the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Deputies and all of the departments that assisted in this pursuit.
